Hi! I am a Master's student in the Machine Learning Department at Carnegie Mellon University, where I am advised by Prof. Nihar Shah.

Research

My research focuses on developing safe, reliable and trustworthy AI methods that can be deployed in high-impact domains. In particular, my work so far has been motivated by challenges in human and scientific evaluations and in agricultural markets. Such areas stand to benefit greatly from well-designed AI systems, yet adoption is often limited by concerns about reliability, transparency, and real-world robustness. I aim to address these challenges by creating and studying approaches that can operate dependably in practical settings and genuinely support the people who rely on them.

At Carnegie Mellon University, I have been working in the areas of AI safety and integrity, evaluations and benchmarking, and human-subject studies, in distributed human evaluation settings, with a particular focus on improving the peer-review process.

Previously, at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, under Prof. Y. Narahari, I worked in the intersection of machine learning and game theory for farmer welfare. This work has been deployed in two leading agricultural districts near the city of Bangalore, where it has gained significant traction and positive feedback from farmers.
